Dave Russell – Owner, Independent Consultant

Dave has more than ten years of Management Consulting / Trusted Advisor experience in the delivery of innovative strategic solutions, to clients in the private, public and education sectors, both domestically and internationally. Dave has led initiatives and teams in the development of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Collaboration, Knowledge Management (KM), Productivity, Business Process Redesign (BPR), Marketing, Adoption Strategy / Planning, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) at both the enterprise and business unit levels, and developed holistic business and technology solutions that met and exceeded service and performance objectives.

Prior to Management Consulting, Dave worked in the Financial Services and Insurance industries for 12 years, in Managed Care Marketing, Mutual Fund / Real Estate Investment Portfolio Reporting, Call Center Reengineering Operations, Financial Systems and Corporate Communications.

In his spare time, Dave has been DJing and promoting music events for over 20 years. He started off throwing his own events in the City of Hartford CT.  Over the years he has expanded his event offerings, and DJ activities by accepting residencies and guest spots in nightclubs nationwide.  In 2001 along with members Maryellen Pachler and Marvin Harris, Dave founded FLIPSIDE (clubflipside.comUSPTO Reg. No. 3,372,648 – International Class 035; Arranging and Conducting Marketing Promotional Events for Others – monthly House Music event in Hartford.  Since then, FLIPSIDE has gone on the road from the East to West coast, to points as far away as Maui, HI.



Stephen Gordon


Stephen supports sectors including defense, aerospace, civilian, national security, financial services, healthcare, alternative energy, manufacturing, shipping, mining, among other emerging sectors. Stephen advises senior leaders in government and private sector on strategies that focus on three core areas: technology for process performance improvement, technology innovation, and the future of global technology, privacy, security, and policy. Stephen’s career spans over fifteen years in software product development, product marketing, management consulting, enterprise software sales, business development, and professional services. Stephen has also been a core team member of profitable global service startup businesses within Microsoft, IBM, and GE, and has range of expertise in technology policy, innovation, business strategy, and technology’s role in specialized operations. Stephen works with companies and organizations to create business strategies leveraging emerging technology and advises defense entities to influence technology’s role in the future of the global defense system. Stephen meets frequently with U.S. military, civilian, and private sector leaders around the world, speaks regularly in industry and academic circles, and is one of the co-founders of the 2014 MIT Science, Systems and Global Impact 2014 conference in Boston, and recently joined the board of directors of Composable Analytics, an MIT staffed New England startup business.

Maryellen Pachler Kennell, MSN, APRN – Co-Owner, The Anxiety Treatment Center of Greenwich


Maryellen Pachler Kennell is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in private practice in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Prior to her current venture, Maryellen worked at the Yale Child Study Center as a Clinical Researcher. Maryellen was a member of the Research Unit in Pediatric Psychopharmacology (RUPP) and also conducted clinical research trials in the pharmacological and cognitive-behavioral treatment of Anxiety, Tourette’s and Autism. Prior to her activities at Yale, Maryellen was an Occupational Therapist for 12 years.

Maryellen lectures both nationally and internationally in her areas of expertise, and has co-authored over ten publications in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Maryellen is a member of the American Psychiatric Nursing Association (APNA) and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). NAPNAP has recognized Maryellen as a mental health care expert, and she has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.

Maryellen holds two Post-Master’s Nursing degrees (Summa Cum Laude) from Yale University, and a BS from Boston University. She is Board Certified in both Pediatric Primary Care and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry


Amado Vargas, Esq.

Amado Vargas is a Subject Matter Expert within all aspects of Workers’ Compensation (WC) Law – Litigation, Legal Case Assessment, Dispute Adjudication, Appeals Ruling, Contract Negotiation, Insurance Coverage, Disability Benefits, and Personal Injury Law.

In September 2013, Amado completed a 20-year career as a Connecticut (CT) State Commissioner, where he was appointed every five years, by Governors Lowell Weicker, John Rowland, Jodi Rell and Dannel Malloy, to preside over WC benefits hearings and cases at all trial levels.  Additionally, he managed district offices in Hartford, Middletown, Norwich, Waterbury, and New Britain, CT.

Prior to his appointment as a Commissioner, Amado worked as a Partner and practicing attorney, specializing in WC law, and also was an Assistant Attorney General with the CT Attorney General’s office, under Senator Joe Lieberman.

Amado is a Member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, and a Board Member of the YMCA of Waterbury (CT), ABC Program, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Mentor/Mentee program.  Additionally, he continues to serve as a Consultant/Exam Grader for the CT Bar Exam, and is a Guest Lecturer for the UCONN School of Law, Quinnipiac University School of Law, and the CT Bar Association.

In addition to his legal career, Amado is an NCAA College Basketball Referee, officiating over 50 games per year.

Amado holds a JD from Temple University School of Law, and a BBA with Honors from Adelphi University.  He is licensed to practice Law in the States of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
