Prior to Management Consulting, Dave worked in the Financial Services and Insurance industries for 12 years, in Managed Care Marketing, Mutual Fund / Real Estate Investment Portfolio Reporting, Call Center Reengineering Operations, Financial Systems and Corporate Communications.

In his spare time, Dave has been DJing and promoting music events for over 20 years. He started off throwing his own events in the City of Hartford CT.  Over the years he has expanded his event offerings, and DJ activities by accepting residencies and guest spots in nightclubs nationwide.  In 2001 along with members Maryellen Pachler and Marvin Harris, Dave founded FLIPSIDE (USPTO Reg. No. 3,372,648) – International Class 035; Arranging and Conducting Marketing Promotional Events for Others – monthly House Music event in Hartford.  Since then, FLIPSIDE has gone on the road from the East to West coast, to points as far away as Maui, HI.  Dave also owns and operates Radio Flipside an ASCAP licensed internet radio station.

Stephen works with companies and organizations to create business strategies leveraging emerging technology and advises defense entities to influence technology’s role in the future of the global defense system. Stephen meets frequently with U.S. military, civilian, and private sector leaders around the world, speaks regularly in industry and academic circles, and is one of the co-founders of the 2014 MIT Science, Systems and Global Impact 2014 conference in Boston, and recently joined the board of directors of Composable Analytics, an MIT staffed New England startup business.

Amado Vargas, Esq.

Amado Vargas is a Subject Matter Expert within all aspects of Workers’ Compensation (WC) Law – Litigation, Legal Case Assessment, Dispute Adjudication, Appeals Ruling, Contract Negotiation, Insurance Coverage, Disability Benefits, and Personal Injury Law.

In September 2013, Amado completed a 20-year career as a Connecticut (CT) State Commissioner, where he was appointed every five years, by Governors Lowell Weicker, John Rowland, Jodi Rell and Dannel Malloy, to preside over WC benefits hearings and cases at all trial levels.  Additionally, he managed district offices in Hartford, Middletown, Norwich, Waterbury, and New Britain, CT.

Prior to his appointment as a Commissioner, Amado worked as a Partner and practicing attorney, specializing in WC law, and also was an Assistant Attorney General with the CT Attorney General’s office, under Senator Joe Lieberman.

Amado is a Member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, and a Board Member of the YMCA of Waterbury (CT), ABC Program, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Mentor/Mentee program.  Additionally, he continues to serve as a Consultant/Exam Grader for the CT Bar Exam, and is a Guest Lecturer for the UCONN School of Law, Quinnipiac University School of Law, and the CT Bar Association.

In addition to his legal career, Amado is an NCAA College Basketball Referee, officiating over 50 games per year.

Amado holds a JD from Temple University School of Law, and a BBA with Honors from Adelphi University.  He is licensed to practice Law in the States of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
